This is a FUN little word search book! I love the holiday ones! They make super gifts for loved ones (but I kept this one for me! The only Easter Basket baby we have right now is too young for word searches so ~ Yeah ME!) But in a few years, this will be perfect for her for a goody in her basket! So I hope this will be available for many years to come! This would be a PERFECT size for Christmas for stocking stuffers...HINT, HINT!!! I'm already about 1/2 way thru the book, I don't get to work on them as much as I would like but it is nice to always have one of Mr. Timmerman's books around for when I can! If you have not done your Easter Goody shopping yet, this little book is perfect for any age that enjoys word searches!

I like the size of the book, easier to take with me to work while waiting for appointments.The large print is easy on the eyes.Who knew there were so many words connected to Easter!You won’t be disappointed in this or other word search books by Mr Timmerman.

Great sized book, half the size of regular books, with simple puzzles. Perfect for adding to a child's Easter Basket and a great size for the ride to Grandma's. It would also be a nice, large print for elderly people with poor vision and easy enough to not strain the eyes but give a sense of accomplishment at quickly completing a puzzle. From family to Spring to secular to religious-themed topics, this easy-to-carry book will provide plenty of entertainment this Easter season. The puzzles are smaller than in his other books so faster to do but still lots of puzzling fun for anyone.

I was expecting more given my many books by this Author. As a senior citizen the size of the letters are good. These are definitely geared to children IMO. The puzzles are simplistic with the words incredibly easy to find. Take 5 minutes and complete a puzzle does nothing to challenge the mind. Very disappointed.

If you love looking at wedding dresses, you will love this book. It talks about the history, the designers, the bride who wore it and had detailed drawings about each one that makes it easier to see the details of the dress. Some I had seen before and some I hadn't, but some of the details of all of them were a delightful surprise to me. Whether you are in the wedding business like I am, or if you are a bride or just a fan of all things wedding, you will absolutely enjoy this book. It is a large, color, hardcover book that is a delight to read from the beginning to the end. It is worth every penny of the original price so if you know someone who likes this subject or is getting married, it is a wonderful gift. Especially at this price. Grab it while you can before the price goes up!

This is a very neat book but it over sells the "pick apart each pattern of the dress." they have a basic sketch and they point out certain things. As a seamstress, I was a little disappointed about that. I wasn't looking for patterns, but a little more explanation in the design. Still, it's a very cool book if you like dress making and royal/celebrity weddings.

Although I had a paperback copy of the original W.H. Freeman release, the remarkable price of about $50 for this new hardcover 2017 version from Princeton University Press was too tempting to pass up. To anyone else considering this purchase, be assured that the quality of the book has been completely retained - paper, type, construction, etc. - also the heft of the book.The new foreword by David Kaiser lays out the history of the original, and also how this new edition came about.The new preface by Messrs. Misner and Thorne gives some additional background of the work and also a chapter-by-chapter commentary on how advances in the gravitation field have impacted the material.In summary, for a prospective purchaser of this monumental classic, this new 2017 Princeton University Press edition is the runaway top choice for quality AND price.

The book was originally published by Freeman in 1973, a great event in the publishing history.Since then Gravitation has become a unique resource for anyone interested in learning generalrelativity and spacetime physics. One of authors Kip Thorne has just won the Nobel Prize in physicslast week for his groundbreaking work in gravitational wave detection. But in my view, all the three authorsdeserved a Nobel Prize long ago for writing such a wonderful book. There is no need to repeathow wonderful this book is, but it worth menntioning that I am now particularly happy with the newHARDCOPY issued by Princeton University press, the book is made beautifully in terms ofbinding and printing quality, and importantly, the price is low enough to make it available toall young students who wish to read this great book.

This book with its three distinguished authors is the definition of a classic. Beyond its considerable heft, sufficient in itself to bend nearby space-time, it presents the material in a way which is intuitive and rigorous to the physics … but in a language familiar to the modern presentation of the mathematics.The student is often confronted with the unfamiliar notation of Einstein’s way of presenting differential geometry, and his General Theory. This same student who has not seen GR before, but who has taken college physics, and learned advanced calculus, feels familiar with the language of differential forms, tangent spaces, inner products, and manifolds … but often feels lost in the tensorial presentation. Do I already know this math? … Is there some vast theory I must master before even reading this material?Wheeler et al. solve this problem by providing a bridge between all three perspectives and languages. So one can see the physical theory, the Einstein notation and the modern manifold presentation all connected, and all describing the same thing. Masterful.

I bought this book based on the hype that it's something every serious Physics student should read. I would like to point out that I am self taught and not a college student. What I found to be a bit annoying was the over explaining on topics. There were many times I felt like the author needed to move on to the next topic. I assumed this book was not for beginners so I expected a quicker pace. There are sections written long ago that are not quite up to date with current knowledge. They do have a preface that tries to point out these inconsistencies but I'm not confident they covered all the outdated parts of the book. Just remember to keep this in mind when reading. Other than the few issues I pointed out above this book still has a lot of relevant information.

I have the original in paperback, after an abortive attempt to photocopy it as a poor grad physics student. LOL! It has always been difficult to handle, physically in paper, and now electronically. Even with the updates, it now shows just how dated the old dead tree paradigm is. A proper containerised modern electronic notebook form to act as an adjunct to the dead tree is now mandated. Modern books need to live, to compute. Amazon is in a prime position to provide this - pun intended, with an elastic cloud set in behind the kindle version. But still poorly utilised for compute. At a guess, democratisation just will not reach that far down to the commons. But it would be nice to be able to test the detection of gravitational waves via LIGO with an electronic, containerised, computational version of this book...

I bought this book to try and brush up on some of the physics that it's been a while since I took, in order to defend my dissertation in theoretical physics later this spring. This book, in the hardback form will put a dent in your leg if you leave it there too long. I'm a physician, and I remember when I made the mistake of buying the single hard bound version of "Cecil's Textbook of Internal Medicine," and I had to lug that monster everyday all over the campus. I played college football, so it's not like I couldn't handle it, but it was a bit unwieldy. I would love to see a version of this that came in two softcover volumes, but, for me, it's not worth docking it a star over.Otherwise this is a great, user friendly treatise on the subject. I could see reading this book just for the enjoyment of learning the subject better. It's much better than the textbook I used back when dinosaurs stomped on the Terra. Of course there were only 4 planets known at the time, so this book is definitely an upgrade. If you're looking for a way to understand the cosmos better, I've never seen a better book.Later 'taters. dc

I was an Iditarider in 2014 and this year we are heading to Nome for the finish, so I guess that qualifies me as a fan. I have been following Martin Buser for years and always felt he was a class act. This book only confirms my opinion of him. He is a talented musher who puts his dogs first and works his own tail off. It is easy to understand why he is such a fan favorite.This was a delight to read and full of interesting information and stories. The beginning focuses on his early life and his journey into sled dog racing. The bulk of the book (probably 2/3s of it) is broken into chapters, each focusing on a particular Iditarod race. All of the chapters are interesting and informative as it allows a glimpse into what happens on the trail and just how difficult an undertaking this is. Some of the stories will make you laugh (there were a couple of times I was laughing so hard I practically cried) and other stories will tug at your heartstrings. One of the most impactful tales related to the fire that threatened his kennel and the lengths he went to in order to save it and his dogs. My respect for him only increased after reading this. If you ever see him interviewed, he usually has a twinkle in his eye --- it is apparent from the book that the twinkle provides a clue into a man who has a mischievous streak and enjoys a prank or two along the way.I am so happy to have had the opportunity to read this and highly recommend it to fans of his or anyone interested in sled dogs and sled dog racing

I had just attended a seminar and Martin Buser was the speaker. I found him to be much better as a speaker and his personality is awesome, much better than reading his book. However I always appreciate books by those awesome individuals who run dogs.

Thoroughly captivating account of what it takes to compete in and win The Iditarod. Beautiful insight into the bond shared between a man and his dogs.

 I simply love this cookbook. To date, I own only two 'Cook This, Not That' books. I never had the time to really try any of the recipes when I originally bought it but since I had a the time (forced vacation), why not entertain myself? And this proved quick, easy and healthy.First chapter, like the other books, went over simple replacements for the pantry. How one product is slightly better than another and with stats to state the argument. Then the rest of the chapters were the recipes for breakfast, poultry, fish, etc. Each section had about 6-8 recipes. What was especially nice was that there was an image right next to each and every recipe. Since I'm a visual person, this was a major plus. The directions were very easy to follow and not overly complicated. The ingredients are easily available and should be available in your pantry. I did had to buy a few things but they were on my to-buy list in any case.So far, I made 7 recipes - the cheese fries (p. 78), asparagus with fried egg and prosciutto (p. 110), Italian meatball soup (p. 112 - I've already made this twice in the last week), mac & cheese (p. 150), manicotti (p. 154), the roast salmon with lentils (p. 250), and the molten chocolate (p. 344). And they were delicious! Unfortunately I don't have pictures since I'm horrible at plating and taking photographs. But take my word, these were awesomely good. Even my picky eater brother liked it. I did do a few modifications since I didn't have all the ingredients on hand (like kale for escarole) but the recipes were robust enough to handle the adjustments.If you don't own any others in the series, get this one. If you do, I can't say if there are a lot of repeated recipes. In comparison to the other one I own, there were three duplicates. But not enough to turn me away. There was plenty of well-known recipes that had been healthy-upped without sacrificing taste. However, this is not a vegan, gluten-free, or anyone with dietary restrictions-kind of cookbook. The recipes can be modified to your own tastes and diet. But overall, I'm super happy with my purchase and definitely keeping it in my collection.

I could not be happier about purchasing this cook book. I have had many cook books before and I never really loved the content of the book. This book has the best recipes for the typical comfort foods that I am always craving. It is nice to have a healthier way of making these comfort meals. I have actually never seen a comfort food cook book that has healthier recipes in it. I have also looked at other books in this series, like the Grill this, not that book and this one is my favorite. This cook book compares comfort foods from many popular restaurants and gives a healthier version of that recipe. It has everything from snacks to dessert to seafood! It also shows the basic steps to make a meal in a crockpot from scratch and how to make meatballs. It has many useful tips for cooking that are not found in many other books. We have loved every recipe that we have tried from this cook book. I have saved many recipes from all of them. It actually took me a little while to find this book available for purchase. Many book stores do not carry this book either in store or online. Of course when I did find it online, Amazon had the lowest price. I have and will continue to recommend this book to friends and family. It is the best way to eat a little healthier and still enjoy delicious comfort foods.

I PURCHASE EVERY NEW ONE & OWN 10 OR (sorry for shouting) more actual books, as well as downloaded on my new kindle, duplicates of books I already own. So much easier than bringing 3 to 4 books from house to work to car. Love my kindle, too. These are my weight loss Bibles. Friends & family ask how hard it was, what did I do. It was so easy I still can't believe it! Am at a plateau, but have kept off (other than 5 lbs up & down) what I lost for for more than 5 months. Winter sucks! I also recommend Rocco DiSpirito, Eat This Now, excellent recipes & Hungry Girl(minus EVERYTHING being fat free. Low fat works if you're aware of your portions. Also, bought all my books through Amazon. Used like New. And every one was like new! For a fraction of the cost. Good Luck and Don't Give Up!

First book i have bought from the cook this not that line but i must say it is a fantastic read. I have many cook books that i have bought but this one may be my favorite just because it focuses on cooking foods that one would actually want to eat. Comfort foods made in a way that lowers the fat/calorie content but still keeps the food tasting the way it should. Anyone can lose wait by eating plates of vegetables and drinking water all day but this book focuses on taking food that most people grew up and presenting it in a way to cut back on a lot of the fat. They also point out just how much fat, sodium, and calories are hidden behind a lot of the favorite restaurants that the mass majority frequently dine at. The Chee$e cake factory being one of them. I have cooked a few recipes so far from the book and i must say they are delicious. To each their own I guess but I was really shocked at how many little post it note tabs i put in this book for recipes that i had to try.

This book is full of useful information on staple items for your pantry, tips on creating healthy recipes and easy recipes that can be swapped out for favorites at nationally know restaurants. The other interesting aspect of this book is the information concerning the restaurants with the least healthy food so even if you do not cook at home and eat out more this book will help you avoid the unhealthy selections on the menu. The one thing I learned was some of the items that you would think are the healthy more then likely are not healthy at all. As for the recipes most are pretty easy to make and taste really good. Following the recipes in the book I've managed to take of ten pounds with little to no exercise while recovering from a knee injury. If you're looking to lose some weight or just eat healthier this book is a good choice.
