This is an excellent book for anyone trying to get up and running on Twitter. It is easy to follow, has good examples, and provides step by step help. I am not familiar with this form of social media so it is somewhat overwhelming. This book has made it much easier and given me a good start.
Book arrived at 5pm; finished reading at 8pm; and, my Twitter site was up and running by 8:30pm. The most productive reading that I have read in years. If you haven't read it, why not? I am looking forward to reading Ian's other 30 minute books. Twitter me at @williamleesefton...
Twitter in 30 Minutes introduces the basics to readers who are new to Twitter and largely focuses on using the platform correctly for more experienced users without boring us with statistics and unnecessary details.I found it helpful and liked the laser beam approach to Tweeting successfully.
I needed to learn VERY technical basics in a very short time to do a virtual twitter March that day. I didn't even need to get halfway through to get down what I needed to know to work twitter.
Husband is switching roles and jumped into a technology environment where he needs to make his brand on Twitter. Thought this would be a good present Quick, easy read that was very relevant and got him set up and running. Definitely a great quick starter read.
Really loved this book. So many media guides tell you step by step how to do something only to find out on step two that everything is changed and the instructions are useless. No so here. An electronic Luddite like myself got signed up and tweeting with no problem.
What I like about this book is how well organized and to the point it is. If you're new to Twitter, this is your book!
Lamont covers the topic pretty thoroughly with plenty of examples (examples are key). I would have liked some discussion about how organizations, for example schools, could use Twitter to promote school programs. This would differ from the examples he gave, which were more geared towards individuals posting their "life" observations through Twitter. He delivers the goods in 30 minutes as promised.
