In “Unending Chase”, Chase is taking us along on another breath-holding adventure …. literally. Danger follows at every turn as he, Clark and their team try to avert disaster in the Panama Canal. Both above and below the surface of murky waters bad things are afoot and heroic efforts are being made to thwart the diabolical plan. Meanwhile, just being in the vicinity of where his family was brutally murdered, shakes Chase to his core. Yet, he has a job to do … and it almost is his last. There are a few new faces added to this one that I feel we will see again in the future and some surprises, both good and bad along the way. We see a different side of Chase, maybe more than one that even surprise him. As always, Cap leaves us with a huge tease at the end wanting assurances that he is busy on the NEXT adventure. My husband is now an avid fan of Cap Daniels. too. I am an advance reader, but I make him wait for the launch … how diabolically mean is that??? You cannot go wrong with this exciting series, be you male or female. It appeals to both!If you are a sailing enthusiast or even if you are not, you might also want to pick up Cap's "I Am Gypsy". It is a bittersweet story as told from the perspective of a sailboat. All proceeds from the sale of this unrelated delightful book go to Hurricane Michael Relief efforts in Florida's Panhandle.

I thoroughly enjoyed this one. Chase gets the job done but makes mistakes that a novice spy might make while doing it. Good to read closure on his parents' death. Don't think the mystery of Anya will end as easily or as soon, and that's all right with me. The author is accumulating a bunch of interesting characters that I'm looking forward to reading more about in other stories. Was the name of the ship's captain a tip of the hat to another Florida author? Could be. I enjoy the series of both.I would have given this one a five, but a lot of people think that five-star ratings are only by friends, family and paid reviewers. I'm not one of those, ergo, the four.

From Book One –“The Opening Chase: A Chase Fulton Novel”, I was drawn into the series immediately. Each character has been extremely well-developed as the story progressed. The books provide strong characters, complex plots, interesting twists and turns. “The Unending Chase” was my favorite so far! The author’s attention to detail is amazing, and being somewhat of a research junkie, it is well-noted how much research was done prior to the written words. Book 4 – “Unending” had so many facts and references, and such real-life parallels. This makes it so real – so authentic. The newly introduced characters possess strong traits – just as Chase, Anya, and Skipper. I am already a huge fan of Penny and hope she lingers throughout the series. The balance of strength, intellect, and humor comes through the author’s presentation of characters. Kudos to Cap – you’ve done it again! Anxiously await Book 5!

Action-packed storyline ... so much so that I found this book hard to put down each reading session. I was getting exasperated reading about Anya Burinkova (Captain Ekaterina Norikova, the Russian SVR officer) in the earlier books and glad that Chase Fulton has moved on to a new love interest - Penny - in this 4th book. Chase certainly has some interesting 'associates' in this book, particularly Diablo de Aqua. I'll leave it there lest I give away any of the story.

I really like Chase Fulton and the other characters this newer author has created in a great series of books. Start with #1 and enjoy them all. Bit of a different character as he's not a retired SEAL (or similar) but has the 'action/fight' in his blood.... Boats, planes, action, friends ('Earl at the end' might be my favorite) and now I can't wait to visit St. Augustine FL!

If you haven't started the Chase Fulton series, get started. Just finished reading The Unending Chase and could not put it down. The story has evolved since the first book so I suggest you start with The Opening Chase to get the full tale. The characters are in-depth and the storyline is not singular. The Unending Chase is just action packed. I won't spoil it but it was intense! Cap Daniels, don't make us wait until next summer to find out about Chase and Penny!

This book is a must read, however you need to read the first three to get the entire story.Awesome, fabulous, thrilling and can’t wait for the next book.I have read over 700 books, and this is amongst the bestAuthors I have read.It will keep you guessing, laughing and wondering what’s next.Loved it.

That book kept me on the edge of my chair . You certainly have proven your writing ability. I’ll say it again. Your right up there with Stinnett and the other writers what a fantastic book full of suspense drama and even a few chuckles. Loved it Candylady

I don't know anywhere else where I can get a complete reference on how-to-conduct-OSINT. The updated edition not only adds new sources, and advises about others that no longer work (e.g. the graph API in Facebook) but it also provides a link to a Kali-like linux environment download. If you're like me and you have VMware Workstation installed, popping the .ova file into a new VMware Guest setup is really simple. I did have problems with a few of the scripts but the Bazzell team was very responsive in getting them fixed. You can subscribe to Michael Bazzell's newsletter and get even newer tips on how to use open-source Internet tools to develop information on a target. So far, all of his recommendations on how to set up 'clean' email and Facebook accounts for investigation have worked with no problem.

I appreciate his updates. Book is a go-to for private investigators and law-enforcement. Bazzells work is the best to train yourself in OSINT.

Excellent book. Highly recommended. It takes you step by step through how to remove tracking from your computer, how to search for info on the internet. It's really good for non-tech savvy people

This is an excellent book full of details on gathering information! The problem is that after 2-3 years it will be obsolete, so you must follow the author's blog, possibly invest in a custom Linux system for gathering the information and keep up to date.

There is a great deal to digest but the author understands this and the book is like a buffet where you can pick and choose chapters that cover items you have an interest in.

Leaning toward studying anything black hat knowing there will be golden nuggets that I can exploit to find somekne, this book lays the foundation for OSINT and the amazing tools available to get information. The only other speaker I'm crazy about is Valerie McGilvrey who is the one that turned me on to Bazzell.

Recommended for anyone who is willing to learn how to better secure their online presence and protect their privacy, as well as anyone who needs to find information on companies/projects/people and doesn't want to pay/rely on others.

Hands down the best book on the subject.

Lincoln and the Irish: The Untold Story of How the Irish Helped Abraham Lincoln Save the Union, by Niall O'Dowd

Review

“We’ve had Thomas Cahill’s excellent How The Irish Saved Civilization and now Niall O’Dowd has penned a terrific book that should be titled 'How The Irish Saved The Union.' O’Dowd introduces us to a wealth of Irish characters who had an enormous impact on Abraham Lincoln and the outcome of the Civil War. . . . Delve into this book on any page and you will find delicious little stories of the affection our most loved and cherished president had for our race, who were considered at the time as Catholic rabble by many on the east coast. If you’re a Lincoln fan like me, you’ll love this book.” —Liam Neeson, award-winning actor"In these times when some would make of America a cold house for emigrants, Niall O’Dowd has done well to remind us of how the greatest American icon, Abraham Lincoln, changed from a position of suspicion of Irish immigrants to one of gratitude and deep regard for them. As the book reveals, he was deeply touched by their outstanding role in his life and by their sacrifices in his battle to preserve the fragile flower of democracy."—Tim Pat Coogan, historian and best-selling author of The IRA, Michael Collins, and Wherever Green is WornLincoln and the Irish is an impressive work of scholarship that will be studied by Lincoln fans, Irish and American History buffs, and students of democracy. It also reads like a great historical novel that will engage any reader who picks it up. Niall O’Dowd has burrowed into the archives and presented us with a fast-paced narrative populated with wonderful historical characters such as the Confederate priest Fr. Patrick Bannon, the great Union Generals Meagher and Corcoran, and the Irish transgender Union Hero Albert Cashier/Jennie Hodgers. Underpinning these wonderful stories of Irish and Irish American heroes, heroines, and villains is the complex relationship between Lincoln and the millions of Irish who found refuge from famine and oppression in America, and who helped the Great Emancipator defeat slavery and cement America’s democracy. This is not only an important book but as engrossing a read as I’ve come across in a long time. “—Terry George, Oscar-winning writer and director of Hotel Rwanda, In the Name of the Father, and Some Mother’s Son

This is a brief book, less than 200 pages, with roughly 25-30 chapters consisting mainly of brief anecdotes or at most sketches, of Irishmen, and one or two Irishwomen, who came into contact with Lincoln or played meaningful roles in the Civil War era. Some the reader may already be familiar with, such as Thomas Francis Meagher, profiled admirably in "The Immortal Irishman"; Archbishop John Hughes who forcefully advocated for Irish immigrants' human rights in New York City; or Jennie Hodgers, who passed as a male soldier for the entire war and long afterwards. Others I was less familiar with, such as the Catholic priest Bannon, who traveled to Ireland in 1863 on behalf of the Confederacy to proselytize against Irishmen coming to America to join the Union army by playing up anti-Irish sentiments.Niall O'Dowd, the author, is a prolific writer on Irish and Irish-American themes. He is the founder of the website Irishcentral dot com. His broad and deep involvement in the topic benefits the reader, in that O'Dowd does an excellent job of inserting examples of anti-Irish sentiment throughout the United States in the antebellum and wartime eras, and the political exploitation of that by the proto-Republican party to which Lincoln belonged.Unfortunately, the book is sloppily written with many obvious copy-and-pastes that were not edited properly (such that, for example, an antecedent refers to the wrong person); duplicative or nearly duplicative sentences within lines of each other, hanging paragraphs, etc. I downgrade my rating one star for this sloppiness. Also, there is nothing in the way of reference notes to enable certain assertions to be followed up on.Bottom line, this is a light and easy read on the subject, written with affection if not a great deal of editorial rigor.

First, my family goes back to the early days of Ireland, especially along the southwest coast. My Ancient Gallic Family, O'Sullivan-Beare, traces its roots back thru the Eoghanacht Geneneologies. Thus I have no dislike for the Irish who suffered so much in coming to America in the 19th Century. Additionally, I have studied the American Civil War for some 35 years. While I do not to profess to be an expert an educated knowledge of the causes, the people, and the War itself is at hand.I agree with the review by Mr. Burt above."Lincoln and The Irish" is a book poorly written with incorrect historical comments (see Jackson for one), and repetitive text that brings up the same "points" without need. The book appears to have been "written" in great haste, thrown together from articles in magazines and thesis writings of unknown candidates, with little editing by qualified reviewers. I must say it was written and published for an audience which is well below that which James McPhearson, Gary Gallagher, Shelby Foote, Timothy Smith, Bruce Catton, or Allen Guelzo address.I suggest not wasting your money on this book, and wish I hadn't.

Interesting but with a glaring error. Mr. O'Dowd at several points refers to Stonewall Jackson's death as taking place at Fredericksburg when it actually occurred as a result of a gunshot wound fired by his own troops at Chancellorsville. Easy book to read and despite the error as noted entertaining.

Great Book; informative and well-written.

Too little history just a lot of loose connections.

I enjoyed the simplicity of the wording, along with the clarity and detail describing the different events reported. Thanks.

Excellent, informative book

This is a long overdue book which shows the amazing links between Lincoln and the Irish who were pouring into America during the Civil War. For the first time, the close relationship Lincoln had with the Irish, from Irish nannies to employees in the White House to great figures like Archbishop Hughes and Thomas Francis Meagher is shown. The forgotten role they played in the Civil War, especially the Pennsylvania 69th at Gettysburg isHidden history at it's best.A great read and not just for Irish Americans
