After 6 years of doing massage, I finally have a name for the style of massage I do. I love the distinction of deep tissue vs deep massage. I have worked at refining my technique to work at the level where the muscle responds to my touch. This book has been a reinforcement of what I have felt in my clients' bodies.
The illustrations were far better than I have found in other manuals. The weakest part of the book was in the text referring to his fulcrum theory which I am still working on understanding. Somehow I do not feel it was adequately explained. I liked the spiritual aspects of his approach but technical and anatomical considerations were very sparse. It is probably a good book for senior massage therapists with a great deal of experience.
Great source for massage therapist starting or advanced looking for ways to integrate energy work into any style of bodywork.

This book discusses not only massage techniques, which I found informative, but it also talks about the subtler, energetic aspects of massage therapy and the therapist, relating to self and the client.
Great book for the massage therapist who wants to explore the body/mind connect. Easy to read and integrate. Very highly recommend.
