This is a convenient size for carrying - it measures 5.25" x 3.5" x .75" (it's tiny, but easily readible). It WILL fit easily in your purse. I found the entries comparable to the concordance in my bible, however, so I am ordering one with 40,000 entries just for lookup purposes. You know how it is when you're in bible study and a verse comes to mind, but your bible's concordance won't get you there. I'm not looking for definitions (I can do that when I get home), just the ability to find the right verse. I will give this to someone at my church whose bible does not have a concordance, as a concordance is a must. The book is exactly what is says it is, and will be useful to someone without one. I bought 3 of these little guides--the dictionary, the concordance and the bible handguide as lightweight travel options to take to bible study. I really didn't expect them to be as good as full-sized guide books. I was wrong! These 3 books have brought much insight to my whole group, and I would recommend them to anyone looking for an inexpensive way to have bible accompaniments.
This concordance has limited entries (around 5000), but, for me to use at our prayer meeting, it is adequate. I tried one of those electronic bibles with the word search, but it was too time consuming. Being Roman Catholic, I wasn't raised in Scripture and now being feeble-minded, I am having trouble remembering addresses and telephone numbers (verses, etc.). The price was tremendous (the s/h) wasn't, and this looks like it never has been or at least very rarely used. A good buy, yes indeed! +JMJ+
