This book is an excellent Q&A book. It provides detailed rationales and is outlined according to the SCRN certification study blueprint. The only drawback is that the app does not work as indicated on the book; however, access to questions on the computer is awesome, as you could sit and participate in a mock exam setting. Excellent book. Passed certification on the first try. Good add-on study accessory.
Product is a questions and answers based book - not a real "study guide." That being said, the questions and answers truly get you thinking. Passed my SCRN first time. Loved it.
The book had some relevant information but did not add anything to the official SCRN book. A lot of the practice questions were way off base and had information that you didn't need to know. There were also a few questions that had the wrong answer compared to the SCRN book and practice questions. I wouldn't waste my money on this book and stick to the official guide, which was spot on for the test.
Used this book along with "Fast Facts for Stroke Care Nursing" and a powerpoint a friend sent from a class. Also have 3 years in a Neuro/Stroke ICU Unit. Passed the SCRN on the first try. These books were good but definitely did not cover some of the specific info that was on the exam. However, I think adequate enough that a person could pass with just using only these two sources.
I bought the companion book with this, I used the App a bunch, I use my common sense, experience and previous education and I passed

The "online Q&A app included" claim is misleading. With the scratch off code you can access the first section of the book online, however the Q&A is ~$50 extra- and may be the same as in the book. Dont know, I didnt bite. THe book itself is helpful, but overpriced. Must be a college textbook publisher
The book is easy to go through. The test questions covered everything in all the sections. Great book!!
