About the Author
Mihai Miroiu was born and raised in Romania, and holds a doctorate degree in English from the University of Bucharest. He now teaches English literature at Elmira College, after a sojourn at Cornell University as a Fulbright scholar. He is also the author of Romanian-English/English-Romanian Standard Dictionary and Romanian Conversation Guide, both published by Hippocrene Books, as well as many articles and translations. He lives in Ithaca, New York.
