It’s one of those books that brings to mind some of the stupid things that you have done and how God helped you overcome to be a better person. The characters and their struggles are so lifelike that I cried through the bad times and rejoiced when they turned to God for the answers. As with all of the rest of Rose Verde’s books, this one will not disappoint you.

Below are a couple of my Likes and Wishes:✅ LIKES:… Loved the emotional draw of the storyline. Also liked how the secondary characters were developed into the story.… Chase was a much better person than me. He took all the verbal abuse and shunning flung at him when he come back to town. He never made excuses for his past behavior, even though he easily could have (and rightfully so).✅ WISHES:...Hope to see more of these characters walking through their own road to redemption in future books. I loved this storyline and wanted to keep on reading. Rose did an excellent job of bringing to light the path to forgiveness and redemption.... and that they are two very different things.I received an ARC and loved the book so much that I think I binged read it in about a day. It's much more than a romance.... it tugs at the heart while being a sweet and clean story, all the while teaching some good life lessons.
I loved the characters in this story...Ruby, the minister's daughter who always tried hard to do right and Chase, the sheriff's son who lost his mother to illness and his father to grief and whose reaction was to become a Bad boy with a capital B (think the young James T. Kirk who goes wild and always lives on the edge as a youngster). This opposites attract story was so well-written and it illustrated that people need to be loved and understood--not labeled and judged. I have been enjoying all of the books in this series but this one may be my favorite. Highly recommend!
Rose has done it again with a great redemption story. I love the characters and the way the author shows Chase’s growth and struggle. Chase was the town bad boy. Always in trouble and up for a dare. He set up the preacher’s daughter and publicly humiliated her. What no one knows is he secretly fell in love with her. Now, twelve years later can he return and be forgiven not just by Ruby but the town that turned their back on him?Ruby was humiliated by Chase in high school. Now she has to work with him everyday at the town clinic. Guarding her heart isn’t going to be easy. As she watches him handle the rejection and anger of an unforgiving town she wonders if he’s really changed. Can she take a chance and forgive?I loved this book and the thread of forgiveness,, hope and love woven throughout. I recieved an ARC and this is my honest review.
Twelve years after Chase kissed Ruby on a dare, Chase has returned to the island. What Ruby and the townspeople are shocked to find out is that Chase is the doctor filling in at the medical practice working alongside Ruby. People still look at Chase as the bad boy but he has changed over the last twelve years. Ruby struggles to trust Chase professionally and personally. Chase has returned for forgiveness from Ruby and his father. I received a free copy of this book from the author. This is my honest and voluntarily given review. This is an excellent Christian romance with themes of redemption, listening to God's direction, and forgiveness. Chase and Ruby are well developed characters that you care about. There are also many interesting secondary characters. I love this book and recommend it. This is an uplifting book.
Destined in Love was an enjoyable read because of Rose Verde's writing skills and a great plot. The characters are likable and easy to relate to. Reformed bad boy Chase comes back to his hometown to try to make amends. Ruby, the girl that he humiliated and hurt in high school, is now a doctor in the practice that he's going to be a part of. I loved seeing how God moved in the characters' lives. The plot has some interesting twists and moves at a good pace. There's a great HEA. I definitely want to read more of this author's works. I would highly recommend this book to clean/wholesome romance readers and to Christian romance readers. I received an ARC. I chose to write a review and share my opinion of this excellent medical romance.
